Lake Forest Restaurant Announces Sudden Closure
The south Orange County restaurant served familiar Mexican fare such as fajitas, tacos and craft cocktails.
LAKE FOREST, CA — A Lake Forest restaurant is shut its doors for good this past week.
Morena's Mexican Cuisine in Lake Forest announced its closure Monday morning in a social media post.
"Lake Forest has truly been a blessing to the Rosales family — from the incredible success we experienced in the beginning to the difficult reality we ultimately had to face, this restaurant gave us memories and relationships that we will carry with us forever," the Rosales family wrote on Facebook. "After much thought and consideration, we want to let our community know that Sunday, July 19 will be our final day of service."

The reason for closure was not known, though business owners mentioned the challenges of running a business in the current economy in a Facebook post announcing the closure.
Residents can still experience Morena's Mexican Cuisine at three other Southern Californian locations, including Huntington Beach, Rancho Mission Viejo and Riverside.
