Lake Forest Woman Dies Crossing Murrieta Street: Report
A 54-year-old Orange County woman was struck by a big rig while crossing the street in Murrieta over the weekend, investigators say.

MURRIETA, CA— A 54-year-old Lake Forest woman was struck and killed by a big rig over the weekend, though the incident remains under investigation Monday morning, officials say. The crash occurred in the city of Murrieta, just north of Temecula, California Highway Patrol reported.
Robin Kropp of Lake Forest was in a marked crosswalk when struck, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Riverside County Coroner's office Saturday.
The driver of the big rig was identified as Fabian Sisneros, 44, of Selma, California, remained at the scene.

Sisneros was navigating a right turn from westbound Murrieta Hot Springs Road to northbound Winchester Road on a green light when Kropp stepped into the marked crosswalk on Winchester Road and was struck, investigators say.
She was knocked down by the right front end of the truck and run over by the right rear wheels, causing fatal injuries, according to the CHP.
