LAKE FOREST, CA — What gets you about the Golden State, Lake Forest readers?
In a recent Facebook survey, Patch asked: "If you were making the ultimate California Bucket List, what would be on it?" Our Lake Forest readers were more than happy to share the good, the bad, and the ugly about our beautiful state.
Resident Carlene Parrish suggests thoroughly exploring when you come.

Among her ideas were Camping in Yosemite Valley, riding a boat across Lake Tahoe, a cable car ride in San Francisco, and a visit to the state capital in Sacramento.
She also suggests a walk through the Redwood Forest up in Humboldt County and watching the sunrise in the Mojave Desert in the middle of winter. Whale watching in Dana Point and a trip to Catalina Island would round out her California Bucket List plans.

John Pearson recommended a stop by the Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills.
For others, it's been a tough year for just about everyone as California has struggled to rebuild the post-pandemic economy.
Jason Neterer suggests that the ultimate California Bucket List item is merely to leave. Still, others waxed more political, pointing to the upcoming recall election.
Still, as for Lake Forest residents, Yosemite was named among the most suggested places to visit should you come to California.
