Largest Photo Event in Orange County; OC Photo Summit • MAY 3

Apr. 28, 2014 - LAKE FOREST, Calif. -- Thousands of passionate photographers eager to learn new techniques and see the latest equipment are expected at the 3rd Orange County Photo Summit in Lake Forest, Calif., scheduled for Saturday, May 3. The event is open to public at no charge.

The Summit, hosted by award-winning photography experts at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, will feature presentations by top tier, recognized professional photographers, hands-on workshops, and exhibitions by major photo manufacturers and suppliers. The event is open to the public at no charge, though space is limited and reservations are required.

Organizers say this year's Summit features noted photographers Jennifer Wu (http://jenniferwu.com), Jasmine Star (http://jasminestar.com), Kristi Sutton Elias (http://kristielias.com) and Piper Mackay (http://pipermackayphotography.com). They will be speaking on topics ranging from nature and landscape imagery, to professional branding, to growing in photography by treating it as an art.

Scheduled workshops include lighting and posing couples, using natural light to photograph family portraits, close-up photography, tips on shooting action and sports, and how to edit with Lightroom.

Canon will be providing free loaner equipment for participant use in the workshops. Besides Canon, other corporate Summit sponsor-exhibitors include Sigma, Professional Photographers of Orange County (PPOC), Prophoto Connection, Samy's Camera, Photoflex and Bayphoto.

The O.C. Photo Summit will be held on the Lake Forest campus of Saddleback Church, 1 Saddleback Parkway, Lake Forest, CA 92630. Last year's Summit was well attended and the number of attending this year is expected to be in the thousands.
