Leah Basile spends only $36.32 more on council campaign - Adam Nick now largest donor. Massive under-reporting still exists.

Another month has gone by and Leah Basile reported spending $36.32 more on her campaign. The total of all spending she just reported on her entire 2016 city council campaign is a whopping $993.65 ($800 which was her candidate statement):

Adam Nick donates $4,000, largest contributor (80% of all contributions) to Basile's campaign

My previous article that took an educated guess than Adam Nick was donating to Leah Basile's campaign is now confirmed. Leah Basile received $4,000 from Adam Nick, nearly 80% of all her donations.

Accrued Expenses

Leah Basile actually reported approx. $9,000 of accrued expenses: $1,500 for website, $637.20 for 200 yard signs, $529.20 for campaign literature and $3,336.13 for each mailed flier. I again ask the question, "How does she get someone to extend credit to her campaign, especially when she has never been elected?" CAMPAIGN VENDORS REQUIRE ADVANCE PAYMENT FOR EVERYTHING!

Cost of Mailed Fliers Under-Reported

Again, I conservatively estimate the actual cost of designing, printing and mailing fliers at approximately $7,500 to $10,000 per mailer. She only reported accrued expense of $3,336.13 for each one. Maybe she is actually going to pay that amount because Adam Nick is subsidizing her costs. I can only make that educated guess because he has $150,000 in his campaign war-chest and is her largest campaign contributor.

Summary

1. Candidate Leah Basile is now being funded by Adam Nick, who donated approx. 80% of the total contributions to her campaign.

2. Somehow, as a political rookie, she hasn't paid for anything yet because someone is either paying for her campaign expenses or she got a sweetheart deal allowing her to subsequently pay for her campaign expenses. This is impossible because it just never happens.

3. She is under-reporting her mailed flier expenses - probably because she is receiving a subsidy from Adam Nick (they share the same USPS bulk mail permit number and same campaign literature company, Spectrum Marketing).

I just cannot believe that Leah Basile would accept donations from Despicable Adam Nick, the most corrupt politician in California.
