Leaning Pine Tree Worries Neighbors In Lake Forest

Neighbors reached out for extra help in making the streets around Oxford Academy safe when a leaning pine tree further listed over the road.

LAKE FOREST, CA —Gorgeous trees are part of what gives Lake Forest its charm. On Thursday, hoevere, a towering pine tree was tilted at a severe slant, residents reported.

The listing conifer was located at the intersection of Muirlands Boulevard and Entrados Drive and appeared to be pulling a power line along with it.

"This tree has dropped significantly and looks as though it is about to break," reader Keri Moffitt told Patch. "We've called the city and also let them know there is also a power line going right through the tree limb."

Those picking up their children from Oxford Preparatory Academy were advised to be careful, in that area.

Moffitt wasn't convinced that her plea fell on the right ears, so Patch called the city Public Works division and spoke with the man in charge.
