LAKE FOREST, CA — The lights in the dog area at Portola Park in Lake Forest are officially on for the fall, the City of Lake Forest announced this week.

The new lights are a part of the city's strategic plan to update and improve parks across Lake Forest.

"When Portola Park was designed, the city council decided to pause on installing lights to see what the public wanted — that was in 2020," Lake Forest City Manager Debra Rose told Patch. "Since then, the public use has been terrific, so now the council members directed staff to install lighting across the park."
