Man Seen On Camera Damaging Wildfire Detection Equipment In South Orange County

LAKE FOREST, CA — Authorities are searching for a man who has been vandalizing wildfire detection equipment in South Orange County on multiple occasions.

Irvine Police Department investigators sought the public's help Wednesday in identifying the man who has been caught on caught on camera damaging and disabling the equipment in an open space near Lake Forest and Bake Parkway.

Officers said the "advanced wildfire detection equipment" is critical to keeping the surrounding community safe.
