Man Who Killed 18-Year-Old In South OC ID'd, Police Say
An Indiana man was charged Tuesday with killing an 18-year-old in a sober-living facility in south Orange County.

IRVINE, CA — An Indiana man was charged Tuesday with killing an 18-year-old in a sober-living facility in south Orange County.
24-year-old Braxton Tysean Hill was charged with murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon.
Hill is accused of killing Jazz Basse Lachance of San Tan Valley, Arizona.

Police responded to the scene at 2 Tyler Place at about 6:10 a.m. Monday. Upon arriving, officers found the victim seriously injured and moved him to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He was not identified immediately by police.

The defendant and the victim both lived at the sober-living facility and may have been roommates, police said. A motive for the crime was not immediately known.
The exact cause of death is under investigation, police said.
