Local artists are on display at newly opened Modjeska Theatre
Live theatre came to Lake Forest last week with sold out performances of “The 39 Steps” at the Modjeska Playhouse . The play runs through April 25. Click here for more details about the theatre.
Apart from the benefits of having live theatre in our City, Modjeska is using their lobby space to highlight the works of local artists. Their first exhibit went up last week and accompanying this article are samples of the works being exhibited.

THE 39 STEPS
April 3 to April 25
The 39 Steps is a comedic spoof of the classic 1935 Alfred Hitchcock film, with only four incredibly talented actors portraying more than 150 characters, sometimes changing roles in the blink of an eye. The brilliantly madcap story follows our dashing hero Richard Hannay as he races to solve the mystery of The 39 Steps, all the while trying to clear his name. The show’s uproarious fast-paced 100 minutes promises to leave you gasping for breath… in a good way! It’s fun for everyone from 9 to 99.
SECRETS OF A SOCCER MOM
May 15 to June 6
Three engaging women reluctantly take the field in a mothers vs. sons soccer game. They intend to let the children win but as the game unfolds they become intent on scoring. The competition ignites a fierce desire to recapture their youthful good humor, independence, and sexiness.
AMERICAN TALL TALES
June 19 to June 28
An original MPH production brings the familiar legends of the 19th Century (Paul Bunyon, Johnny Appleseed, Annie Oakley, etc.) to life with rip roaring action, music, broad humor and colorful (kid friendly) language.
