Motorcyclist Killed In Irvine After Losing Control Of Bike

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday after losing control of his motorcycle in Irvine.

IRVINE, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday after losing control of his motorcycle in Irvine.

Officers arrived at the intersection of McGaw and Armstrong avenues around 5:37 p.m. to a report regarding a single-motorcycle traffic collision, according to spokesman Kyle Oldoerp of the Irvine Police Department.

Orange County Fire Authority paramedics also arrived at the scene, where they pronounced the motorcyclist dead. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives, Oldoerp said.

The IPD Major Accident Investigation Team was investigating the cause of the collision.
