Motorist Dead After Vehicle Crashes Into OC Nursery Sunday

IRVINE, CA — One motorist died Sunday after the rider lost control of the vehicle and crashed into Moon Valley Nursery in Irvine, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The motorcyclist drove over a wall and into the brush on the northbound San Diego (405) freeway at Sand Canyon Avenue at around 3:45 p.m. Sunday, according to CHP logs.

The rider was declared dead at the scene. There was no immediate word on the age or gender of the motorist, and the person's name was withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
