Neeki's Qualifications & Experience Valuable For City Council

Neeki's real world experience is stacked up against Morper's litmus test of sitting on commissions, elected to an HOA, or attending clinics

( )

Neeki Moatazedi is a very qualified candidate for City Council District 2 and residents should take the time to find out more about her background. Below are several bullet points of Neeki's qualifications and experience outlining why you should vote for Neeki for District 2.

Before I dive into a few of her professional accomplishments, let me share a video Neeki published on her FaceBook campaign page last Tue Oct 30th.

Neeki has put herself out there running in a race that turned very toxic on her. Now her opponent, Sonny Morper, is trying to use a set of litmus tests claiming she is not qualified because she hasn't spent decades serving on an HOA, or attending a city leadership workshop, or even serving on a city commission.

He seems to think these items are so important, but Morper's wrong.

What really matters is real world experience. You don't need to have been on an HOA to add value to the city council. You don't need to attend city workshops to add value to the city council. You certainly don't need to have served on a city commission to add value to the city council.

Here's just a few of Neeki's real world accomplishments and business experience she brings to the city council:

  • Bachelor's Political Science from UCI
  • Masters Fine Arts from Chapman University
  • Project Management experience for over 8 years
  • Works closely with the California Public Utilities Commission
  • Works on and develops process for $100+ million projects
  • Experience writing and filing regulatory proceedings with CPUC
  • Experienced with projects implementing regulatory directives
  • Project management of 100+ member teams
  • Responsible for RFP reviews and contract reporting with 3rd parties
  • Responsible for review, selection, and implementation of cost and time saving organization wide tooling
  • Technical expertise of enterprise level applications within business domain for organization improvements and cost savings
  • Forecasted and managed project level budgets
  • Background in law and political activism

You see, when you stack up Neeki's real world experience it's clear she has a lot of value to bring to the city council.

Serving on a city commission is not a criteria of value. No one would seriously consider that simply sitting on an HOA or a commission could get you a real world job. It doesn't. Any of Morper's litmus test criteria says nothing about what a person's abilities are or if they are qualified other than they went through a process or sat in a position on a board.

However, in the mind of Morper and Gardner this is how they view their importance and qualifications. Gardner posts constantly that people are only worthy to serve if they've done this litmus test and now Morper is copying Gardner.

Morper and Gardner have lost touch with the real world. The real world does not judge value or contribution by sitting on boards or commissions.

The real world is based on experience solving problems encountered every day in a responsive way. It's based on being able to add value to the task at hand.

Neeki Moatazedi clearly has that value and Morper is clueless on that fact.

If Morper thinks being on a commission is important and thinks Neeki has done nothing, maybe Morper isn't the right person for city council because he can't bother to review her qualifications and even give her a fair shake on her merits.

Neeki on the other hand is more than qualified and deservers your vote!

Vote for Neeki Moatazedi in District 2!
