No, Disneyland Is NOT Closing For Canyon Fire 2, Resort Says
A fire burning in the Anaheim Hills area has prompted many closures, but Disneyland is not one of them.
ANAHEIM, CA — Disneyland remains open for business as usual on Monday despite smoke and ash raining down on guests at the happiest place on earth. However, the amusement park is extra eerie during its Halloween celebration with an orange-lit sky serving as backdrop to the skeletons, pumpkins and ghouls on display.
"Disneyland Resort remains open today," a Disneyland spokeswoman told Patch via email just after 1 p.m.
Park guests reported that ash was raining down on them and smoke was visible all around — but lines were still just as long, if not longer, because of Columbus Day crowds.

Rumors began surfacing on social media Monday after the Canyon Fire 2 broke out in the nearby Anaheim Hills that Disneyland was going to close. The fire has forced authorities to close area highways, though, which may leave park guests scrambling for hotel rooms or sitting in traffic for hours.
