Not everything you read on the Internet is true (including Councilman Gardner's posts)
I have been a member of the quiet majority forever. However, since Gardner is trying to ruin our city, I can't bite my tongue anymore.
I am very concerned about Councilman Gardner and his antics. I have frequently read his blog since he started writing it. As every broken analog clock is correct twice each day, he is surprising right on rare occasions. However, my blog posts will be a labor of love to my fellow residents to counter his often wild and baseless claims. For me, the straw that broke the camel's back was when he donated the vast majority of the recall funding. This proves the recall is not about anything but a power grab of a council minority.
My posts will definitely be less frequent that his - I truly believe that he views himself as a full-time politician. Frankly, the less I hear from politicians (especially those like him), the better. Besides, I am sure that I will have a lot to learn and will need to do a lot of research to properly counter him.
Anyway, my first topic is about his most recent blog post about the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem being MIA (posted May 25th):

1. Gardner is flat out wrong - I did a cursory search on the Facebook page of the Mayor and it was WAY too easy to see that some of the events Gardner mentions were in fact attended by the Mayor (Hamilton posted videos from May 15 - Prelude in the Park and May 1 - Rancho Fiesta Days ).
2. If Gardner is so quick to "jump" to a conclusion about his colleagues attendance without proper due diligence, it is quite easy to assume he doesn't take the proper care to really research topics. Therefore, he is just playing politics with his agenda which includes smearing colleagues.

3. Who does Gardner think he is? Do his colleagues report to him? Do the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem have to "check in" with Councilman Gardner every time they attend an event?
4. Gardner's attendance research should withstand the same rigorous examination that he purports on others. Does Gardner stand at the entrance at each event from opening to close? If not, what other method does he use to measuring his colleagues' attendance at events? I believe a thorough analysis of his flawed data gathering is in order.
Anyway, happy weekend to everyone. And don't forget - everything you read on the Internet is NOT actually true (especially from the politically-charged Gardner).
