No one has been a more active citizen in Lake Forest than Tom Cagley. And he's been a presence for years.

Beyond his involvement in city activities and with city groups, Tom is a natural leader. He achieved the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army, something most people never achieve. When he was a member of the OC Grand Jury they elected him Chairman of the Cities Committee. Here in Lake Forest he helped found the USMC Support Committee.

To me, the most important reason to vote for Tom Cagley is that he is an honest, independent voice. When he ran in 2014 and again now in 2017 Tom never accepted "special interest" money. He and I share many values, but he isn't reluctant to take me to task when he disagrees with me, as he has done publicly on the appointment of Debra Rose (I said "yes", he said "no"), extending the CR&R contract (I said "yes", he said "no") , the date for the recall election (he preferred Jan 9, I voted for Jan 2), the schedule for district elections (I wanted to push it up, he wanted to stay the course), etc.

The City has a lot to do in 2018. We need an independent, honest, experienced, and concerned person sitting on the Council, and Tom Cagley is that person. No one else comes close.

BTW - read this article by Martin Hendersen (Click Here) who gives you even more reasons to vote for Tom Cagley.
