Details of Lies

Please allow me to summarize Adam Nick’s statements with help from the Crime Report created by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The Crime Report is a compilation of various reports made by Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators. The parties listed in the Crime Report include Councilman Adam Nick, his accomplice Mohammad Hossein Nadimzadeh (“Hossein”), and various Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators.

Here are Adam Nick’s city council comments, in his own words, on his sign stealing:

Lie #1: Councilman Adam Nick was “was returning home from his office in Santa Ana” when he was pulled over for stealing signs.

Nick Says:

Page 8/14 - "I [Sheriff’s Deputy] asked Adam why he is driving in the area of Lake Forest and Bake Parkway at that time of the morning [2am]. Adam explained he is running for election to the United States Congress, for the 6th Congressional District and he was returning home from his office in Santa Ana."

Page 8/14 - "As Adam was driving home, through the intersection of Bake Parkway and Trabuco, he noticed Scott's campaign signs posted near the corners of the intersection."

Video - "What are you doing at 2 o'clock in the morning? I go home at about two in the morning. That is when I leave the office."

Crime Report Says:

Page 4/14 - "On Wednesday 9-24-14 at approximately 2300 hours, Hossein met Adam at the Grab 'n' Go in order to assist him [Adam Nick] with the campaign signs."

Page 4/14 - "I [Investigator] asked Hossein why they would drive around late at night in order to collect the campaign signs. Hossein stated Adam told him it was better to collect the campaign signs late at night due to there being less traffic on the roadways."

Page 5/14 - "I [Investigator] wanted to ask Hossein if he was returning from Adam's office located in the city of San Anna just prior to being contacted by the Sheriff's Department. I was attempting to confirm or deny the statement that Adam gave to Investigator Laschober on 10-09-14 regarding his activity prior to being contacted [pulled over] by the Sheriff's Department. I asked Hossein if he went to any other areas with Adam . . . on 10-9-14. Hossein stated he only drove around the city of Lake Forest collecting the various signs belonging to Scott Voigts . . . I specifically asked Hossein if he was in the city of Santa Ana at Adam's office just prior to being contacted [pulled over] by the Sheriff's Department. Hossein stated he never went to the city of Santa Ana with Adam on 10-08-14 or 10-09-14."

Lie #2: Councilman Adam Nick was assisting “Scott with putting up his new and improved signs at a later time.”

Nick Says:

Page 4/14 - "Adam told Hossein they would assist Scott with putting up his new and improved signs at a later time."

Page 1/14 - ''Adam said, 'We are just putting up and pulling up some signs.'"

Page 1/14 - "Adam said they had picked up the sign from the corner because it was in the wrong place. Adam claimed the volunteers had misplaced it."

Crime Report Says:

Page 4/14 - "I [Investigator] asked Hossein if he helped relocate any of Scott's campaign signs throughout the city before or after they were contacted [pulled over] by the Sheriff's department on 10-9-14. Hossein stated he was never with Adam while any signs were relocated in the city."

Lie #3: ''Adam said he was doing Scott a favor"

Nick Says:

Page 1/14 - ''Adam said he was doing Scott a favor"

Page 9/14 - "Adam told me he considers Scott to be his 'friend' and once he saw the campaign signs being damaged by the sprinklers, he decided to do Scott a favor and relocate the signs because 'he would do the same for me.'

Page 9/14 - "I confirmed with Adam again that he never received permission from Scott to remove or relocate his signs and Adam said, 'yes, I don't think I need Scott's permission, we are all friends, we support each other.'"

Video - "Those signs, I had saved them for him. He knows that. But, this is just dirty politics. [Audience laughs]. Yeah, laugh. Just laugh. You'll be embarrassed when the truth comes out."

Crime Report Says:

Page 4/14 - "Adam explained to Hossein that Scott asked him to collect his current campaign signs placed throughout the city in order for them to be replaced by updated signs containing a new design that have already been ordered. Adam told Hossein they would assist Scott with putting up his new and improved signs at a later time."

Page 7/14 - "I asked Scott again to tell me who he thought might be taking the signs and he said 'it's an organized effort, they're cleaning signs up of their opponents and that's all I'll say.'"

Page 8/14 - "I asked Scott if he had ever given permission to Adam Nick to remove or relocate any of his campaign signs and he said 'Adam Nick has no permission to remove signs.'"

Page 8/14 - "I asked Scott that if Adam Nick were to have several of his campaign signs in his vehicle, he would not have permission to possess them. Scott said 'that would be stolen property', referring to his campaign signs in the backseat of Adam's vehicle . . . Scott said " . . . He pledged a hundred thousand dollars to get rid of me, publicly at the dais, Lake Forest City Council.'"

Lie #4: Adam Nick only took “'Uh, three or four” signs.

Nick Says:

Page 9/14 - "I asked Adam how many signs he took and he said 'Uh, three or four.' At this point I told Adam the photographs clearly show at least eight signs on the backseat of his vehicle. Adam said there were two from Jose Vergara and 'two or three from Scott.'"

Crime Report Says:

Page 1/14 - "I saw numerous campaigns signs on the back of the seat of the vehicle . . . Underneath there was approximately 10 other signs belonging to City Council candidate 'Scott Voigts'"

Page 4/14 - "Hossein believes he collected approximately ten (10) to twenty (20) signs belonging to Scott [on 9/24/14]."

Page 4/14 - "Hossein collected approximately twenty (20) to thirty (30) campaign signs belonging to Scott prior to being contacted [pulled over] by the Sheriff's Department [on 10-8-14]."

Lie #5: “Adam told me [Investigator], ‘this was the first time’” that Adam Nick took signs.

Nick Says:

Page 10/14 - "I [Investigator] asked Adam if he had ever removed or relocated campaigns signs in the past of if this was the first time. Adam told me, 'this was the first time, just a spur of the moment.'

Crime Report Says:

Page 4/14 - "On Wednesday 9-24-14 at approximately 2300 hours, Hossein met Adam at the Grab 'n' Go in order to assist him [Adam Nick] with the campaign signs."

Page 4/14 - "On Wednesday 10-8-14 at approximately 2330 hours, Hossein met Adam at the Grab 'n' Go in order to assist him [Adam Nick] with the campaign signs for a second night."

Lie #6: “Adam was adamant the signs were being damaged by the sprinklers and that is why he removed them.”

Nick Says:

Page 8/14 - "As Adam was driving home, through the intersection of Bake Parkway and Trabuco, he noticed Scott's campaign signs posted near the corners of the intersection. The sprinklers in the area were on and Adam said he could see the signs were getting damaged by the water . . . He was going to 'relocate' the signs to an area where they would not be damaged."

Page 8/14 - "The sprinklers in the area were on and Adam said he could see the signs were getting damaged by the water . . . He was going to 'relocate' the signs to an area where they would not be damaged. Adam said 'if you or anyone cares enough, they can see the water spots on the signs.' "

Page 8/14 - "Adam was adamant the signs were being damaged by the sprinklers and that is why he removed them."

Page 9/14 - "I asked Adam why he put Scott's signs inside his vehicle rather than simply moving them away from the sprinkler. Adam told me, 'the whole thing, like the water was all over, so I moved them, that property is private property and I moved them before the owner did and now the property is a better place.'"

Page 9/14 - "Adam said, 'I promise, you see the hard water spots, I promise you.'"

Crime Report Says:

Page 4/14 - "I asked Hossein if they were collecting the campaign signs from the area where the Sheriff's Department contacted [pulled over] them on 10-09-14 since they were being damaged by the sprinklers. Hossein does not remember if the sprinklers were actually on and does not remember if they were wet or damaged in anyway. I asked Hossein if Adam asked him to collect this campaign signs from the area where they were contacted [pulled over] due to them being damaged by the sprinklers. Hossein stated Adam never mentioned the campaign signs being damaged by the sprinklers and he was only told to collect them in order for new ones to be put up at a later time."

Page 8/14 - "I told Adam that I have several color photographs of the signs in the backseat of his vehicle and could see no indication whatsoever of damage or water spots."

Page 9/14 - "I again told Adam I was looking at color photographs of the signs in the back of his vehicle and I would see absolutely no signs of water or damage."

Page 9/14 - "I then told Adam it certainly was evident to me the signs were not wet or damaged to the point that someone would need to move them."

Lie #7: Adam Nick won’t take campaign signs again.

Nick Says:

Page 10/14 – “Adam said, 'I learned my lesson' and that he would not remove or relocate any signs in the future.”

Crime Report Says:

Video - "What I did was legal and ethical because there is nothing proving my guilt. I didn't do anything against the law. I didn't do anything that I wouldn't do. I have not done anything illegal or unethical in relation to this orchestrated, politically-motivated assault upon me. I would do the exact same thing again under the same set of circumstances. I promise you, I would do that.

Page 10/14 - "I [Investigator] advised Adam that it is considered a crime to take or remove campaign signs that do not belong to him and asked him not to do any more "favors" for Scott in the future should he see a campaign signed being damaged by sprinklers."

Lie #8: Adam said the Police report was ½ page and 2 paragraphs.

Nick Says:

Video - "I have the Police Report. There was nothing to it. The Police wrote a short, 2 paragraph report. It's half a page."

Crime Report Says:

The Crime Report is actually 14 pages in length.

Lie #9: Adam said the signs were illegally placed.

Nick Says:

Video - "There were 3 signs I removed because they were illegally posted."

Crime Report Says:

Page 12/14 - "I met with Hossein Nadimzadeh and he agreed to speak with me regarding this incident. I showed Hossein the photograph of the "Google Earth" map listed above and asked him to show me 'exactly' where the signs were placed before Adam Nick directed him to remove them. Hossein pointed to the exact same location that Deputy LeFlore had pointed out earlier, the area along the shrubbery line."

Page 14/14 - "Investigator M. Perez #3566 and I went to the intersection of Bake Parkway and Trabuco Road in an effort to determine if the campaign signs were within the "Vision Clearance Triangle" based upon the schematic provide by Deputy District Attorney Jess Rodriguez. Using a "Rolotape", which is a commercial grade rolling distance measuring wheel, we determined the area of the "Vision Clearance Triangle" based upon the schematic provided. The area from which Hossein removed the signs was outside this triangle, meaning the campaign signs were in a lawful location when they were removed. According to our investigation, the signs were nearly ten feet outside of the prohibited area."

Conclusion

The Crime Report details the numerous lies of Lake Forest Councilman Adam Nick regarding the issue of him stealing campaign signs. My head is still spinning about how Adam Nick was so untruthful.

Questions:

1. If Adam Nick makes this many lies just on one issue, can anyone trust another word he says?

2. With so many lies, why didn’t the District Attorney throw Adam Nick in prison?

3. Why does Adam Nick want to be on the Lake Forest City Council so badly? This Police Report just seems show the desperation of a man willing to do ANYTHING to get a majority of the City Council.
