Prelude in the Park - Sunday

Fresh off the stage after a first-place win at the American Drum Line competition, El Toro High School’s 7 musical ensembles and color guard take to the Lake Forest Sports Park stage at the 9th Annual Prelude in the Park, the school’s annual gift of music to the Lake Forest community.

Come for the music—featuring selections from Pixar hits, the Harry Potter films, Star Wars, and a John Williams medley—and stay for a vast array of food and activities including children’s crafts, a vast array of dining options, baked goods, drinks, retail vendors and much more.

2016 was one of ETHS’s most award-winning: every ensemble earned top honors in their respective fields of competition, including American Drum Line, Southern California Band & Orchestra Association and the Winter Guard Association of Southern California.

The annual event, which includes an opportunity drawing for amazing prizes (restaurants, nail salons, etc.), is the school’s annual fundraiser and one of many ways the Lake Forest community can support its own fine musicians.
