R.A. Smith National’s Colby Nennig Attains Professional Engineer License
Civil engineer shows dedication to industry by obtaining licensure in California

Colby Nennig attained his professional engineer license in the state of California. Nennig is a civil engineer in the land development services division at R.A. Smith National.
Nennig has more than three years of experience at R.A. Smith National. His experience includes site design services for mixed-use, commercial, retail and industrial projects. Nennig has further technical expertise with grading and earthwork, hydrologic analysis, fire flow analysis, utility design and site layout. A couple of his recent projects include the Westfield Century City and AT Mateo retail redevelopments. Century City is a $950-plus million project that includes a new Nordstrom, a completely remodeled Bloomingdale’s, a new Macy’s and the West Coast’s first Eataly restaurant. The AT Mateo project, located in the Los Angeles Arts District, consists of 170,000-plus square feet of retail and office space that has become a premiere destination for retail, fashion and the arts.
Nennig has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.
