Recover Faster From Your Workout

Use these foam roll and stretching exercises to aid in your recovery after a tough workout

Tough workouts can leave your body sore and achy. Utilizing foam rolls and balls for self massage and stretching can decrease this soreness, improve flexibility and help prevent future injuries.

These are the foam roll, ball, and stretching exercises that we use every day at Compete Sports Performance and Rehab in Lake Forest to keep our athletes healthy and to prevent injuries. I suggest you roll 10-15 times each way and perform the stretches for 1-3 sets of 15 second holds. Utilize this chart as a guide and implement it into your daily routine. The supplies that are needed are a foam roll and a lacrosse ball/tennis ball.
