The 10th annual Lake Forest RELAY FOR LIFE kicked off this morning at 10:00 am with a few hundred supporters. It’s a fund raiser to support people with all forms of cancer. Dozens of cancer survivors from Lake Forest are participating, along with other groups. WalMart and Pepino’s Italian restaurant helped provide food for the participants.
There is a great SILENT AUCTION with 2 tents full of wonderful gifts that were donated to the event. You can come by and put your name down, or they have a “Buy it Now” option. The auction will end at 7:30 pm tonight so be sure to come by.
The event is at the new Sports Park, in the commons area. It continues until tomorrow at 10 am, but the Silent Auction closes tonight.
