Residents Invited To Celebrate Irvine Regional Park's 125th Birthday

Orange County residents can be a part of the day-long celebration on Oct. 1.

IRVINE, CA — Irvine Regional Park is turning 125 this year, and Orange County Parks is hosting a family-friendly event to showcase the park's historical importance while highlighting its ongoing importance in the community.

The celebration will take place on Oct. 1, and residents who attend can expect live music, dance, crafts, historical demonstrations, giveaways and even Shakespeare performances.

Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy free live concerts featuring bands Flashback Heart Attack and Analog Jukebox starting at 2:30 p.m. In addition, a variety of food and dessert options will be available for purchase.

The event is free for residents to attend, but bring $5 for parking at the park and offsite lot.

Offsite parking for the event will be available at Santiago Canyon College Lots 1 and 2, 8045 E. Chapman Ave., Orange. A free shuttle service will be available for residents to use to and from the event site.

Irvine Regional Park's 125 Anniversary celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 1 Irvine Park Rd.
