Seattle's Best Coffee to Host Weekend Job Fair

Lake Forest cafe  is holding a two-day job fair to hire approximately 10 new full- and part-time employees. 

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Saturday and Sunday, prospective employees can stop by the store, situated at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Muirlands Boulevard, to fill out an application and be interviewed.

Job seekers will find out on the spot if they are hired. 

Compensation for staff positions starts at $10/hour, recently upped from $8 per hour by cafe franchisee Rick Gitchen. Employees get discounts on coffee, merchandise, food and beverages.

The coffee shop has flexible employee schedules; students are welcome to apply.

Employment Criteria

• 18+ years old

• Able to start work immediately

• High-energy, enthusiastic & outgoing

• Customer-service focused

• Able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and co-workers

• Specialty coffee experience helpful but not required

• No experience necessary; training provided

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers

• Preparing food and drink orders

• Operating a cash register
