I have been trying for more than a year to get a shade structure for the dog park near Baker Ranch. The park uses artificial turf, and on hot days, the temperatures there are unbearable. The problem is exacerbated by the lack of trees to provide shade. But the wheels of government move slowly, and so little by little, we've made progress and I just got word that a shade structure has been selected and the anticipated date of completion is early 2018.
