"Shop and Dine" Coming Soon to Lake Forest

Lake Forest’s signature business event, “Shop and Dine” will take off on November 1 and City staff were busy this week talking with the businesses that will participate.

“Shop an d Dine” was started in 2011 - this is the 5th year anniversary of the program. Shop & Dine Lake Forest Week encourages the community to support their local economy and keep tax dollars locally. There are over 400 businesses participating with discounts and offers.

A coupon booklet containing the 400+ coupons was mailed this week to all Lake Forest residences and businesses All deals start Sunday, November 1.

The week-long celebration kicks off on November 1 at the Orchard Shopping Center with a focus on Shopping. It ends on November 8 at Foothill Ranch Towne Center with the “Taste of Lake Forest”. In between, at the November 3 City Council meeting I am trying to organize a “Best of Lake Forest” award ceremony celebrating the Lake Forest businesses that made the OC Register list of “Best of OC” (Click Here).

SHOP AND DINE

The kick-off starts at Noon on Sunday November 1st and runs until 3 pm. There will be live entertainment and raffle prizes. The first 500 people will get a bag full of goodies with coupons and giveaways from Lake Forest businesses. There will be booths from the City and from the Chamber of Commerce. People can purchase the “Taste of Lake Forest” tickets at this event and avoid the lines later.

Here’s your chance to pig out by sampling 20 of Lake Forest’s best restaurants. This event takes place on Sunday, November 8, from Noon to 4 pm at the Towne Center Shopping Center. For just $10 you can buy a card that lets you sample more than any one person should. Here’s a list of some of the participating restaurants
