Solo Crash Leaves 1 Dead Saturday Morning In Irvine

IRVINE, CA — A driver was killed Saturday morning during a solo-vehicle crash on State Route 133 in Irvine, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Officers were dispatched to the northbound side of the freeway at Interstate 5 at around 9:10 a.m. Saturday. The crash involved a driver behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz sedan, according to the CHP dispatch log.

Paramedics rushed the victim to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries, the CHP said.
