South OC Chili's Closes; Plans For Family-Owned Eatery Underway

IRVINE, CA — A longstanding Chili's Grill and Bar restaurant permanently closed in South Orange County and will soon be replaced with a family-owned eatery, The Orange County Register reported.

The Chili's operated for its last day at 3745 Alton Parkway in Irvine on Tuesday, April 16, the report said.

According to The OC Register, the restaurant's lease expired at the end of 2020 and was granted several temporary extensions. Though the reason for the closure was not cited, the newspaper reported that a family-owned dining restaurant would open in the same location early next year.
