South OC Woman Arrested For Stealing Packages In Irvine
A suspected package theft suspect was arrested in south Orange County this week, the Irvine Police Department reported.
IRVINE, CA — A package theft suspect was arrested this week by Irvine police officers with the help of community members, authorities said Thursday.
Irvine resident Gina Lynn Valverde, 43, was arrested at her home in Irvine. According to police, she was found hiding in her garage.
"Last month, we shared a 'Wanted Wednesday' post and asked for your help in identifying a suspected package theft suspect," Irvine police said in a statement. "Once again, our incredible community helped identify the suspect as an Irvine resident."

Valverde was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail on fraud charges for her suspected theft, which include package theft and mail theft, police said.
No further information was immediately released.
