SVPW and Compete to Make Football Safer

Saddleback Valley Pop Warner and Compete Sports Performance and Rehab are pleased to announce a partnership to keep players on the field safely. Compete will supply an Athletic Trainer to provide first aid, emergency care, evaluation and management of sports injuries during all home football games. Compete will manage common football injuries such as sprains, strains, fractures, neck and back injuries and concussions. Sideline concussion testing will also be utilized should a head injury be suspected. Compete will offer complimentary initial injury evaluations to all SVPW athletes at Compete's Lake Forest location as well as referrals to qualified Physicians. "We are excited to be a part such a great local sports organization and offer the same service we have provided so many other youth, collegiate and professional athletes" stated Compete owner, Chris Phillips an Athletic Trainer with over 20 years experience in professional sports. SVPW Board member John Burns added "Safety is our number one priority at SVPW so we're thrilled to have such an experienced company, Compete Sports Performance and Rehab, provide us with Athletic Trainers at each home game and arrange for additional services such as injury evaluation and baseline testing."
