Teen, 14, On E-Motorcycle Hits Man, 81, And Flees Scene In Orange County: OCSD
The teen motorcyclist was accused of leaving the scene of the crash, which critically injured an 81-year-old man.
LAKE FOREST, CA — An 81-year-old man is in critical condition and a 14-year-old teenage motorcyclist was arrested after a hit-and-run in Lake Forest, authorities said.
The crash was reported on Thursday, April 16 shortly before 4 p.m., when deputies were originally called to the area of Toledo Way and Ridge Route Drive for a pedestrian struck by an e-bike.
Upon arrival, deputies found an 81-year-old victim was life-threatening injuries. He was moved to a nearby hospital and is currently in critical condition, deputies said.

According to authorities, the suspect fled the area.
Investigators later found out through witness testimony that the "e-bike" was actually an electric motorcycle designed for off-highway use, police said.

"Witnesses were able to give a description of the suspect, who was suspected of driving recklessly at the time of the crash," an OCSD statement read. "The suspect was quickly identified and a search warrant was served at a nearby residence in the City of Lake Forest."
A 14-year-old boy was arrested and booked at Orange County Juvenile Hall for charges related to the incident, police said.
