The monthly gathering of the South County Military Officers Association of America was held in the recently modified small Meeting Room of the Lake Forest Holiday Inn. The program featured narrative and slides from Bill and Kathy Manes, who recently returned from a cruise that took them from Chile to Argentina an through the Cape of Good Hope.
The highlight of the trip was wandering with the Penguins, who we were told mate for life with annual separate vacations.
Next month we are fortunate to have the first public appearance of Lake Forest's 9 year-old Kick, Pass and Punt champion, Samantha Woods. It promises to be an entertaining and inspirational evening.
Guests are welcome on March 20. Social is 6:30 PM with dinner at 7:00 and Samantha at 7:45. Cost is $30/pp including a three-course dinner. RSVP to Rick Karoly at rjkaroly@yahoo.com
