May 8 – Budget Workshop (6 pm, City Hall)
Join us as we get ready to budget for the next year. Lake Forest has many financial challenges in front of us, but we are doing very well. By the end of this year we will be completely debt-free.

May 11 - Secrets and Strategies for Business Success (8:30 to 1 pm, Sports Park)
The Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce and City of Lake Forest host the annual Secrets & Strategies for Business Success. Designed for current and prospective business owners, this half-day seminar features informative sessions from experts in their given industries. Business owners will have the opportunity to visit various business-resource booths and form collaborative business partnerships. Breakfast and lunch refreshments will be provided. May 12 – Passport Day (9 am to 1 pm, City Hall)
Bring the whole family! The City Clerk's Department hosts a Passport Day on Saturday, May 12. The City Clerk's Department is a full service passport application acceptance agency and has forms and photos available. May 16 - Public Visioning Workshop for General Plan Update (6:30 to 8:30, City Hall)
The first of three workshops to gather public input on the first comprehensive update of the City's General Plan, which sets policies and guidelines for future growth.
May 17 – Town Hall (7 pm, Beach and Tennis Club)
My second Town Hall of the year. This is a chance to offer comments, ask questions, get answers, etc. It’s democracy at work. Come join us.
May 19 – Aliso Creek Clean Up (9 to 11:30, Cherry & Fernbank)
Team up with The City of Lake Forest and Wal-Mart to help maintain one of the most popular trails in Orange County! Join other Lake Forest residents, community groups, and City staff in removing litter from a portion of the Aliso Creek Trail. Volunteers will be supplied with gloves, trash bags, reacher sticks, snacks, beverages, sunscreen, and riverbed cleanup shirts!
May 19 – Prelude in the Park (4 pm, Pittsford Park)
Our annual kick-off of our summer concert series. A wonderful family event.
