CANCELED MEETING
At the December meeting the Council canceled the Jan 2 meeting and gave authority to the City Manager to re-schedule for Jan 9 if pending business required it. The City Manager believed that it wasn‘t warranted.
The next City Council meeting will be Jan 16.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS SIGN-UP
Residents are invited to participate in the 13th Annual Community Emergency Preparedness Academy, a joint effort between the City of Lake Forest, the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the Orange County Fire Authority and Doctor's Ambulance. This six-week program provides instruction in earthquake preparedness, threat assessment, fire safety, disaster medical operations, CPR/AED certification and principles of light search and rescue. Please contact Sharlyn de la Paz at sdelapaz@lakeforestca.gov or 282-5215 to be placed on an interest list for the program or if you have any additional questions. Program space is limited so please enroll soon.
I've taken this course and I highly recommend it for everyone.

CHILD EXPLOITATION SEMINAR – JAN 24

For the past several months I have been working with Police services to expand upon our excellent Child Safety program (Click Here). Our first step in this direction will be a seminar “Child Exploitation and Internet Safety – How to Protect Your Family from Dangers Lurking on the Internet”.
This is a really important seminar and anyone with teens or pre-teens will find it very valuable. Adults only.
BLANKET MAKING - JAN 25
LAKE 1 CLUBHOUSE, 6 pm to 8 pm
