The Veterans Park Committee met for the fourth time last week, following up on some of the issues left standing after the last meeting (Click Here). Some of the issues discussed –
Flagpole – will there be a flagpole and will it be automatic or require a person to put the flag up/down, or simply fly the flag all the time (as we do in Heroes Park).
City Monument – the committee approved the 5 monuments for each of the services, but the designers came back suggesting we have a 6th monument saying that the City built the other 5 monuments.

Inscription – Committee decided to go with the name of the service and the date it was established.
Seating – Consultant took away a bunch of benches and put a single bench around the flagpole area.

From my POV there were some good ideas and some poor ideas. The report will now go to the Council for action.
