Whispering Hills Park Workshop Results March 4th, 2017

The Whispering Hills Park Workshop held March 4th, 2017 drew the largest crowd of the neighborhood park renovation workshops being held in Lake Forest. The development of a “Garden Park Theme Passive Park” at the Whispering Hills Park site was the overwhelming choice by the local Whispering Hills residents who were well represented at this neighborhood community Workshop on Saturday March 4, 2017. Approximately 50 individuals from the Whispering Hills Community and local neighborhoods overwhelmingly voiced their support of a “quiet Garden Park” which was the unmistakable favorite choice followed by a “limit light and noise” in the park came in 2^nd place and “assigned garden plots” took 3^rd place. You can see the pictures of the choices with red dots indicating choices. It is evident that the local residents want to bring a unique passive Garden Park to Lake Forest. The consultant will now send recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Department. We would like to express our appreciation to all those who attended and voiced their opinions and for those that couldn’t make the meeting but have supported the Lake Forest Community Garden Park effort the past four years.
