Winning Powerball Numbers for Wednesday, March 22: Winners Announced
A ticket matching five Powerball numbers plus the Powerball was pulled on Wednesday, March 22. Here's the scoop.

Congratulations to three ticket holders who bet on winning big money and won.
One winning ticket matching all six Powerball numbers in Wednesday March 22, 2017 drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. That ticket was sold in Wisconsin.
Now, its owner must choose whether to accept a lump sum payment of $92.4 million or the $155 million jackpot paid out over 29 years.

There were two tickets sold with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, one each in New York and South Carolina, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced. Both of those lucky ticket holders can trade their tickets in for $1 million.
The numbers drawn Wednesday were 2, 9, 27, 29, 42 and the Powerball number was 9.

The drawing was the eighth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.
The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
The jackpot for Saturday's draw will be $40 million.
