Daughter Arrested After Mom Found Fatally Stabbed In Lake Forest Home

The victim was in her 70s and pronounced dead at the scene of "multiple stab wounds" early Wednesday morning, deputies say.

LAKE FOREST, CA — A Lake Forest woman is being charged with stabbing her mother to death in their home Wednesday morning, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.

The victim's husband called Orange County sheriff's deputies to a home in the 22000 block of Bellcroft Drive at about 1:50 a.m. Wednesday for "unknown trouble," Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

The victim, whose name was not released by authorities, was in her 70s and was pronounced dead at the scene, she said. Authorities said she was found with "multiple stab wounds."

The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Courtney Baker. She was arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing her mother.
