Woman Pepper Sprays Attacker On Aliso Creek Trail: Cops

LAKE FOREST, CA — A woman in her 60s walking the Aliso Creek Trail near Glenn Ranch Road was assaulted midday Friday, Lake Forest Police Services reported.

A man attacked her from behind and pushed her to the ground, Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesperson reported over social media. "They struggled and the victim was assaulted but fought her attacker off using pepper spray," officers said.

The woman made her way back to the Saddleback Church parking lot, where officers responded.
The woman described her attacker as a man, 6-feet tall, with dark skin, dark clothes, and no visible tattoos or markings.

Though officers conducted an extensive search of the area, along with helicopters and K-9 officers, no one was located.
