Wrong-Way DUI Crash Hospitalizes 5 On OC Toll Road: Report

IRVINE, CA — Five people were hospitalized, including two young children, in a DUI wrong-way crash that occurred early Sunday, Oct. 6 on the 73 Toll Road near Irvine, The Orange County Register reported.

The crash was reported around midnight when a Toyota Camry struck a Lincoln MKZ driving south on the toll road north of Campus Drive, the newspaper said.

Two young children and their mother were hospitalized with "significant" injury, though it was not immediately clear what car they were traveling in. The driver and passenger of the Lincoln MKZ were also hospitalized.
