The Big Boys Toy Show, the ultimate guys playground

50,000-square-feet of fund, overlooking San Diego Bay, on Saturday, Oct. 15th devoted to guys of all ages

Don’t miss seeing Southern California’s ultimate guys playground for boys of all ages and their families. The Big Boys Toy Show, an all-day interactive event featuring a variety of cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, electronics, home furnishings, teams and sports celebrities, will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, on the scenic San Diego Bay, 1000 North Harbor Blvd., San Diego. The public is invited to attend.

“We are excited to assemble an incredible array of extraordinary exhibits of wheels, waves and wings, including interactive displays to see, touch and experience, all under one roof, all in one place,” said Mike Glickenhaus, President and Market Manager, Broadcast Company of the Americas (BCA), presenter of The Big Boys Toy Show.

“Here’s your chance to experience up close every amazing and awesome toy, gizmo, gadget and gear you’ve ever dreamed about, plus hang out with famous sports celebrities and San Diego’s top radio sports talk-show personalities. This will be a unique, all-day event where you’ll find everything a man wants and needs under one roof. We’re bringing the best to you. This is not your average trade show, it’s an action-packed event not to be missed.”

Glickenhaus also said The Big Boys Toy Show promises to deliver the best from such popular categories as lifestyle, health and fitness, automotive, off-road, military, digital, home electronics, active sports, skating, construction, adventure, plus more.

More than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibit space will offer opportunities to explore outdoor military tanks and hummers, dive into the giant reptile cave and climb into vehicles you’ve admired for eons. Let your kids jump through an inflatable ninja obstacle course and wipe out on a giant jousting rink.

Take home the ultimate Man Cave, including furniture, home theater, wall decor and gaming. Learn about drones, robots and hobby aircraft and telescopes, along with sports shooting, camping accessories and skydiving. Check out a Segway, hooverboards, scooters, bikes motorcycles, cars, boats and a luxury RV. Get inside and experience some of the world’s most exclusive lifestyle and luxury products and services from around the world.

Plus meet members from the San Diego Chargers Girls, San Diego Padres Pad Squad, San Diego Gulls Skate Girls and the Tijuana Xolos Girls and mascot, as well as a variety of sports celebrities.

Sports celebrities scheduled to appear include: Chargers offensive lineman Orlando Franklin; former Chargers players Stephen Cooper, Pete Shaw, Burt Grossman, John Carney, Darren Bennett, Willie Buchanon, Vencie Glenn; former Padres players Tony Gwynn Jr., Kurt Bevacqua, Randy Jones; legendary Gulls player Willie O’Ree; and more.

And you won’t want to miss meeting sports talk-show hosts from XPRS 1090-AM The Mighty 1090, including Dan Sileo, Darren Smith, Marty Caswell, Kevin Acee, Scott Kaplan and former Chargers player Billy Ray Smith.

Also on hand will be personalities from XPRS-FM 105.7 MAX-FM, including Kim Morrison, Sammy Jo, JJ, Cha Cha and Frank Anthony. Plus, don’t miss going back in time with MAX-FM in Doc Brown's DeLorean and enjoy vintage video games.

Nine food trucks also will be offering pizza, seafood, tacos, shaved ice, ice cream and other delicacies, including bacon, along with a craft beer garden.

Proceeds will benefit Computers 2 San Diego Kids, a local nonprofit that recycles and refurbishes used computers for families in need. C2SDK believes all children and their families in San Diego, regardless of their economic status, need to be computer literate and have equal access to technology and the crucial educational, occupational, and financial resources that technology can provide to improve their educational options and their futures.
