Disabled Passengers Aboard Bus Call 911 in La Mesa, 4 Treated at Hospital

Passengers aboard a MTS bus for travelers with disabilities recently called 911 during a ride in La Mesa. The callerΒ reported thatΒ their driver was driving erratical andΒ ignoring passengers β€”Β four were ultimately sentΒ to the hospital

San Diego 6 reported on Tuesday that passengers were airborne when the driver speed over speed bumps in La Mesa.Β 

MTS referred all questions by the news stationΒ to First Transit, the company that operates the MTS Access paratransit line.

β€œAlthough it is not the policy of First Transit to comment on matters during ongoing or pending litigation, I can assure you that safety is a core value of First Transit. The safety of First Transit passengers, as well as those with whom First Transit shares the roads, is a responsibility that First Transit takes very seriously,” spokespersonΒ Stephanie Creech said via email to San Diego 6.
