Discover Bats! Educational presentation by BLM and FWS staff

Bats aren't scary this Halloween!

Join Bureau of Land Management Biologist Joyce Schacter, and Fish & Wildlife Service Interpretive Ranger Lisa Cox, in learning about our little nocturnal natives.  Bats are not only cute and interesting, but an important part of our ecosystem!

The event will take place in the outdoor amphitheater at the Water Conservation Garden in Rancho San Diego (thegarden.org).

There will be a powerpoint presentation, Q & A, a bat myth-debunking session, followed by opportunities to WIN PRIZES!  There may even be a live bat to observe from Project Wildlife!  After the talk, we'll lead everyone to the exit using a bat detector to try and find live bats at the Garden.

RAIN CANCELS.  Bring a flashlight if you wish.
