Seniors can visit Grossmont Healthcare District’s Dr. William C. Herrick Community Health Care Library for a free seniors discussion group on “Maintaining Healthy Aging Eyes”
The public is invited to attend, and RSVP is not required. The speaker will be Barbara Runco, public relations and outreach specialist with the San Diego Center for the Blind.
Runco will discuss the typical changes in aging eyes and practical ways to ease the transition, along with four eye conditions, signs of vision change, and medical and educational interventions. Attendees will be invited to try on eye glasses that simulate different eye conditions and discuss their observations. Handouts will be provided and light refreshments will be served.
