Wilma Groh, a resident at Monterey Trellis, takes discarded plastic bags & weaves them into very colorful intricate mats for the homeless ( used to sleep upon in the evening). She hands them out at her church, Foothills United Methodist Church, each Sunday drawing a significant crowd of homeless persons that are apparently standing in line waiting for her mats. If you would like to learn how to make her mats, Wilma works on the bags on Tuesday's at 11 AM at Cali Comfort.
