Grossmont Girls Kick Off Double Bill With Hoops Victory Over Valhalla
Foothillers boost records in boys and girls play with double victory against the Norsemen.
Grossmont High School swept visiting Valhalla High School in back-to-back basketball games Friday night. The Hiller boys prevailed 56-48 with Robby Nesovic and Jake Herrod as top scorers, both with 16 points, and J.T. Barnes with 9. The Hillers raised their record to 7-1 in league play.
Earlier, the Grossmont girls had a decisive 48-21 victory over the Norsemen. Lead scorers were Katarina Schweitzer with 16 points, Danielle Dahle 15 and Danielle Davis, 8. Their record is 3-5 in league.
Grossmont faces Steele Canyon on Tuesday with the girls at home and the boys away. Friday the Hillers host Helix.
