Grossmont Season Ends with 35-7 CIF Quarterfinal Loss to San Pasqual
Hillers finish season with 6-5-1 record after loss in Escondido in Division I playoff game.
San Pasqual High School defeated Grossmont High School 35-7 in the CIF Division I quarterfinals as Eagles quarterback Tyler Tony coordinated a running attack Friday night in Escondido. San Pasqual intercepted Anthony Lawrence four times, including several with the Hillers poised to score. The No. 4-seeded Eagles advanced to play No. 1-seeded Poway on Thursday night. Grossmont highlights included a rushing TD by junior Trent Galkosky in the fourth quarter and a 69-yard punt return by junior Marlon Lampart. Sophomore QB Lawrence completed 18 of 32 passes for 186 yards and the lone score. Coach Ron Murphy’s Foothillers finished the season 6-5-1.
