Family members of 31 Grossmont High School senior football players and nine cheerleaders escorted their stars onto the field Friday night before the showdown with visiting Helix Charter High School.
The 58-36 loss in the Musket Game took an edge off the evening, but grandparents, parents and brothers and sisters still enjoyed the moment with their fourth-year Foothillers, including Grossmont Principal Dan Barnes, walking with his wide receiver son J.T.
