Noelle Johnson Throws a Four-Hitter to Lead Wolf Pack Past the Foothillers

West Hills whooshes past Grossmont High School 8-1 to boost league record to 4-1.

Noelle Johnson allowed only four hits and threw eight strikeouts to lead host West Hills High School over Grossmont High School in softball Tuesday afternoon, notching an 8-1 victory.

Arianna Quintanilla had two doubles and two runs, while teammate Katie Byrd connected for three hits, two of them doubles, scoring two runs. Janelle Hipolito, Emily Spencer, Jayde Roberts and Kaycee Aquiningoc also contributed to the Wolf Pack scoring.

For Grossmont, catcher Sarah Nicks got a base on balls and was driven home by a hit by Hayley Kasden. The Wolf Pack, coached by Mike Applebaum, now has a league record of 4-1 and an overall total of 18-4. The Foothillers, coached by Jerry Lerud, is 3-2 in league play and 13-8 overall.
