• County Loan Fund Proposal Could Add Capital for Santee Small Businesses (santeepulse.com) — La Mesa small businesses could soon tap a new county-backed revolving loan fund aimed at East County companies that struggle to get traditional financing. The proposal, up for a Sept. 1 vote, would channel county and federal dollars into flexible loans for working capital, equipment, and expansion in La Mesa, Santee, El Cajon, Lemon Grove, and unincorporated areas.
