Perez, Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors 2023 Board Member, Discusses `Serving a Diverse Clientele Raises Your Credibility' with NAR

The Pacific Southwest Association of REALTORS® (PSAR) is congratulating 2023 PSAR board member Rafael Perez for his selection to appear in a recent podcast produced by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Perez, a 2022 NAR Fair Housing Champion, was interviewed by NAR host Marki Lemons Rhyal for a podcast titled “Serving a Diverse Clientele Raises Your Credibility.”
In the podcast, Perez said that practicing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in real estate is not only the right thing to do under fair housing laws, but it’s also a good business decision.

“We can best do our job when we are the most inclusive with an equity lens, and not let biases or stereotypes get in the way,” Perez said. “As REALTORS®, we have a fiduciary responsibility to make sure every buyer is exposed to the most available properties and let people explore all parts of town. Where we live affects our opportunities to thrive both today and for generations to come.”
Perez also serves as a member of the NAR Fair Housing Policy Committee, a group that promotes fair housing and opposes segregation through redlining and other roadblocks, including exclusionary zoning.
